The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

In addition, I believe that every Christian is called to be ‘catholic’ (part of the universal body of Christ), ‘orthodox’ (right-thinking) and ‘evangelical’ (promoting the Gospel in the world). I myself have chosen to be a member of the Catholic church, although I believe that every Christian is a member of the universal Church, the body of Christ. Therefore, on my blog there will be a degree of bias towards my particular denomination, however, I have been a part of or been exposed to many denominations and will try to represent them all fairly. I have experienced small persecutions due to my choices, but will not stand for persecution taking place on my blog.
